Joe's family settled at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains and ranched between the Little Horn River and Rotten Grass Creek in Montana. Joe was born November 7, 1939 at the nearest town of Sheridan, Wyoming. Graduated from Montana State College at Bozeman with a degree in Agriculture Economics in 1961.
THE BOYD EXPERIENCE
Joe is a FULL TIME real estate agent. Joe offers his many years of varied experience to his clients. He has owned and operated both feeding and ranching operations. Owned and developed Arrow Island Subdivision east of Shepherd. Invested several years in the agriculture lending business. Joe understands the financial and mortgage markets having served as State Director of the Farmers Home Administration and later as a stock broker & trust officer.
Joe has served 3 Governors on Agriculture and Economic Development boards, Recently serving as Chairman on the Montana Agriculture Development Council. Joe has been active in the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of School Board, member of Elks, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine.

Both Joe and Sharon are experienced in exchange transactions qualifying for tax deferral under Internal Revenue Code Section 1031. We have recently helped clients in the Identification and Designation of Replacement Property amounting to several million dollars. These transactions have involved closing ranching property, investment income property and commercial manufacturing business.
